My name is Frances and I am the creatrix and principal therapist of the Isian Centre of Metaphysics, a sacred space which encases all that I do (and more). Pronounced “eye-see-an”, and named after the ancient Egyptian Goddess Isis (or Aset) who was known for her powers of healing and magic, the Isian Centre of Metaphysics is located only 20 minutes north of Adelaide’s CBD, in Parafield Gardens.
I have been exploring the concept and importance of the mind-body-spirit connection for over 30 years, and as such, hold a Bachelor Degree in Metaphysical Science, certificates in a number of energetic healing modalities, as well as being a certified hypnotherapist, Death Walker (End of Life Doula – someone who assists the dying and their families through the end of life transition), and a practitioner of past life regressions. I am also an accomplished tarot card reader with over 20 years experience and Level I yoga teacher. All this (and more) do I bring to the Isian Centre of Metaphysics so that it becomes a central focal point in offering services to assist people to (re)enhance their own lives.
Working with sacred symbolism, and drawing inspiration from earth-centric spiritual practices, I further enjoy creating sacred ritual that not only mark various Rites of Passage throughout one’s life, but also ceremonies that create connection with the Divine as well as creating a positive space in which to reside.
As an contributor of essays and author of various books, as well as being the spinner of magic, I also hold regular meditation groups and full moon circles, as well as running workshops on metaphysics, soul-deep mythological journeying, and self-empowerment through utilising earth-centric spirituality.
There is a Zen proverb that advises:
“Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water;
after enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.”
In other words, spiritual development of any sort does not make you exempt from material needs. As such, being fully present in the “here and how”, on this conscious plane whilst striving to gain spiritual evolution of our own soul is vitally important. When we become fully present, we also become fully responsible … and this in itself leads to spiritual evolution of the soul.
