Archangel Michael is one of the more popular of all the archangels who is usually portrayed with his sword poised over a pinned-down demon that signifies the slaying of ego and fear. As the defender of all that is pure, Michael is the epitome of strength and valour saving lives and protecting our bodies and reputations. He also is known to protect vehicles, physical belongings, as well as protecting us spiritually.
Michael is the archangel of the first ray of protection, faith and the will of God. He is the Prince of the Archangels and of the Angelic Hosts, the Defender of the Faith, and the Angel of Deliverance. Within the Bible, the Book of Daniel calls him “the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people.” Archangel Michael is the sponsor of police departments and law enforcement agencies around the world.
Archangel Michael has figured as the greatest and most revered of angels in many scriptures and spiritual traditions. In Muslim lore, he is the angel of nature who provides both food and knowledge to man. Archangel Michael is identified with the angel who wrestled with Jacob, destroyed the armies of Sennacherib and saved the three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace in Jewish mystical tradition. Archangel Michael also appears in the Bible as the angel who appeared to Joshua as he prepared to lead the Israelites in battle at Jericho.
Archangel Michael will be the focus on the Thursday Evening Meditation that will be taking place in Room 2, 3 Kyle Place, Port Adelaide on Thursday, 9th April 2017.
