My name is Frances and I am the creatrix and principal therapist of the Isian Centre of Metaphysics, a sacred space which encases all that I do (and more). Pronounced “eye-see-an”, and named after the ancient Egyptian Goddess Isis (or Aset) who was known for her powers of healing and magic, the Isian Centre of Metaphysics is located only 20 minutes north of Adelaide’s CBD, in Parafield Gardens.
I have been exploring the concept and importance of the mind-body-spirit connection for over 30 years, and as such, hold a Bachelor Degree in Metaphysical Science, certificates in a number of energetic healing modalities (including Reiki, Seichim and Pellowah) as well as being a certified hypnotherapist, Death Walker (End of Life Doula – someone who assists the dying and their families through the end of life transition), and a practitioner of past life regressions. Further, I am an accomplished tarot card reader with over 20 years experience and Level I yoga teacher. All this (and more) do I bring to the Isian Centre of Metaphysics so that it becomes a central focal point in offering services to assist people to (re)enhance their own lives.
Working with sacred symbolism, and drawing inspiration from earth-centric spiritual practices, I further enjoy creating sacred ritual that not only mark various Rites of Passage throughout one’s life, but also ceremonies that create connection with the Divine as well as creating a positive space in which to reside.
I hold regular a meditation and mantra circle and psychic development courses throughout the year, have contributed essays to over 40 publications and am the author of various books. I also run workshops on metaphysical concepts, soul-deep mythological journeying, and self-empowerment through the spinning of magick and utilising earth-centric spirituality. I am absolutely delighted to be bringing my Encountering the Dark Goddess workshop to Sydney in August 2019 and my Embracing the Goddess Within workshop to the Riverdell Spiritual Centre (Hillier) in November 2019.
There is a Zen proverb that advises:
“Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water;
after enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.”
In other words, spiritual development of any sort does not make you exempt from material needs. As such, being fully present in the “here and how”, on this conscious plane whilst striving to gain spiritual evolution of our own soul is vitally important. When we become fully present, we also become fully responsible … and this in itself leads to spiritual evolution of the soul.
With these words in mind, I am organising a six day Transform the Soul spiritual retreat to take place in March 2020. As this retreat will be limited to only FIVE people, you will need to ensure that your deposit is paid by the end of November 2019 to secure your place.
